THE COMMITTEE
The Committee who have been behind organising “Christmas in St Mary’s Cathedral 2005” has been chaired by Mari Palomares, Business and Events Administrator of St Mary’s Cathedral. Supporting Mari has been Jacqueline Roche and Wendy Cawley from the Friends of St Mary’s Cathedral and Marita Winters, Director of Catholic Communications for the Archdiocese of Sydney. Meeting since mid- September, the committee have worked to promote “Christmas in St Mary’s Cathedral 2005”, including arranging the entertainment in the Cathedral Square, coordinating the Blessing on Sunday 4 December and promoting the whole season so that as many people in Sydney can come and visit. In addition, the committee have sought support for the initiative through the Cathedral and wider community.
With such a delightful project to coordinate, the committee’s task has been a pleasurable one.
