THE ARTIST
Tony Johansen painted the backgrounds and developed the creative lighting concept. He also created the hyper-realistic 'stonework' and consulted on the overall artistic arrangements.
Tony is a well known artist in the Australian contemporary artworld. He was the founding President the Kings Cross Arts Guild, the first artistic director of the Guild's Kings Cross Arts Festival. He started the Real Refuses, the artist run alternative to the Archibald Prize in 1997. He is Director of the East Sydney Academy Of Art.
Tony is a member of the greater Cathedral community as two of his sons attend the Cathedral College. His son Leif was until recently a member of the Cathedral Choir.
